Lots of little roads to get there. I can take I-25 up to the Lusk exit and head east, ten north on 85 to 16 east. Then turn north on 385. I think this is the route I took to Rapid City last time except took 16 to Highway 79 north.

What route are you guys planning on taking? The Romer caravan will be heading out between 10 and noon wednesday

We left late on Saturday afternoon. Stayed in Lusk that night. Today (Sunday) we drove Hwy 18 all the way to Hot Springs, SD and spent most of the day at Evan's Plunge. Kids loved it. We also checked out the Mammoth Site which was way cool. We're now in Custer, and will be here 3 nights until we head to Wild Bill's on Wednesday.

We are in Hulett, fixing to see Devil's Tower today, and then on to Deadwood.

We are going to camp until we hit Wild Bills. Is Custer pretty nice choice for camping?

Thanks Ken!

We will be hitting Wild Bill's on Wednesday.

Riding in an 80 might ruin me for 40's and 55's!!!

So far, Custer looks like a tourist city -- great for kids, not so amazing for scenic camping. We rolled in after dark last night, so I don't have a good gauge on it yet.

Ken suggested I mail it to the campground so that is what I did. Should get there in a few days. I've mailed it to Matt's attention.
