Default I need to contact somone about my Ft-7800

I need to get someone of the phone for a minute to help me with programming the new freq. for moab and setting the tones. I did this the when I got the radio months ago but now I'm stuck. I can't believe it's so difficult. I was up last night with the manual and now I'm afraid I messed things up.

Thanks,

You are ahead of me. I don't even understand the concept. Why do we program and what do we program? (FT-1802)

All we have to do is add some new presets and set the repeater tone for them. It should be simple.

I have lots of Yaesu experience and am willing to talk anyone through it over the phone on Sunday in the AM (after 9, just to be safe).

I will be in my garage all day today (Sunday 4/26), south Denver. I'm not far from you Daniel, although I doubt Yoder could swing by... Look up the address on the roster in member's only section. I don't have software for the FT-7800, though.

If you guys are still messing around, get on a Colorado connection repeater, you can talk to some other club members on their way out to Moab.

Thanks Tim for helping me diagnose an antenna issue. We could not talk simplex, but I could not even hear the 145.145 repeater. I could however hear it when I put my finger on the center of the antenna mount (human antenna!) I think its that the ARB metal tab is too thick, so the antenna pin is not making contact. I will need to go buy (or make) a flat metal mount, bolt that to the tab and put the antenna in that. Monday I will see if SBS electronics has one. I should have bought the flat mount at HRO....

Dave, if you had the time I probably could swing by, you are pretty close. Not a big deal though.
