Here are the birthday cake pics.....

Hey UB, have you installed your radio yet? I am trying to do mine today.

It got great reviews and 75Watts seemed like a good call at 219.00 before 20.00 rebate. Asked Hro to match the price but they couldn't. Will get my antenna from them, though.

Nice cake, although that blue truck looks more like a Sportsmobile. Did you check the garage?

Bruce has the IC-V8000. He had me try and program it. The main differences were the buttons that you push to get into menus, make thing permanent, etc. Great radio. Bruce also has the IC-706MKIIG all mode. I liked that one a lot until i got the Yaesu FT-857D. My dream is still to have the IC-7000 with a separate display (think DVD display in the dash of the 80) showing the screen. THAT would be freaking awesome!

Nice buy, Chris, and Happy B-Day!

I have that radio also. Mine's already programmed, but I was gonna get the stuff to program them with and do UB's... so I could program your's as well Chris. I wanted to add 146.460 and take a look at everything else that was on my radio so getting the link and software from the guy here at work seemed logical.
