Default Well now I feel better

I was doing a bit of preventive maintenance on the SAAB this afternoon when I noticed an identification tag on the transmission. AISIN, made in Japan. Cool, a least a tranny failure should be pretty unlikely.

Yeah, I remember helping my friend Joe do a clutch in his Wrangler and seeing that it was running an Aisin AX15 and thinking the same thing. Those are a pretty close relative to the R154 from the Supra Turbo, so between the leaf springs and Aisin tranny, the YJ wasn't a complete POS. The Dana 30 axles with vacuum axle engagement were junk, but the 258 six cylinder to AX15 to NV231 wasn't a half bad drivetrain.
